Mohammed Ali - Beyond conventional constraints

Publicerat 2019.05.29

Mohammed Jaffar Ali has a BA in Fine Art from Central St Martins, London, and an MA from the Design Interactions programme at the Royal College of Art, London. He is currently a PhD candidate at RMIT, Australia.

Mohammed's research investigates speculative design practice within real world contexts, examined through our energy interactions. His work tries to look "through the wall" at the infrastructures we make, our relationships to them and the wider impacts they create. He uses a speculative and critical design approach to suggest alternatives to the monolithic facilities and complex systems we build, to ultimately reduce our dependence on finite resources and the consequences of their use on the global environment.
