Two lectures with Dr. Jorunn Veiteberg on jewellery art and intended and unintended inspiration between art forms.

In the first lecture Jorunn Veiteberg will present the exhibition based on her own collection of international jewellery art at Nordfjedske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim earlier this fall. She will reflect on what makes her collect and what impacts her decisions.

In the second lecture she will give examples of ceramics, textiles and jewellery to show how craft always is in dialog with other art work by conscious and unconscious loans, quotes, inspiration and appropriation.

Dr. Jorunn Veiteberg is educated as an art historian and work as an independent writer, researcher and curator based in Copenhagen, Denmark and Norway. Veiteberg has written several books and many articles on a range of art historical topics, but as visiting professor at Bergen Academy of the Arts, Oslo Academy of the Arts and HDK at Gothenburg University (2013-2016) she mainly focused on craft theory and contemporary craft practises. Veiteberg has led Arts Council Norway's committee for research and development since 2014 and been a member of the council since 2016. Her forthcoming book, Hold stenhårdt fast på greia di, is about feminist art in Norway between 1969 and 1989. It will be launched March 8 2019.

The lectures are in English.
